Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih said that Saudi Arabia is betting on the present and future of the mining sector, which is seeing growing investments by both institutions and individuals.

 

In a session held during the Future Minerals Forum, he said that companies, such as Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Maaden) and others in Saudi Arabia, are performing strongly, and have access to capital.

 

The Kingdom is seeking more partnerships with international players in the mining sector, as in the energy sector, he said.

 

Saudi Arabia is working on concluding partnerships between Maaden and other international mining companies such as Alcoa, Barrick, Mosaic, etc., Al-Falih said.
