Saudi and GCC banks are in talks to finance from 10% to 15% of the livestock city in Hafr Al-Batin, sources told Al-Eqtisadiah.
Although talks are still in an early stage, financing entities have shown great interest in light of the high economic feasibility of the project and the planned government support.
According to Argaam data, Hafr Al-Batin Investment Forum 2025, announced the largest livestock city in the Middle East at a cost of SAR 9 billion. This comes as part of the Kingdom's efforts to reach self-sufficiency in livestock products and enhance its food security in line with the goals of Vision 2030, the state-run SPA reported.
The project, owned by Hafr Al-Batin Cooperative Association for Livestock and Marketing, will be located in Hafr Al-Batin Governorate, spanning an area of 11 million square meters.
