Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasury bonds reached $135.6 billion in November 2024, down $3.6 billion month-on-month, new data released by the US Treasury showed.
Accordingly, the Kingdom maintained its 17th place among the largest holders of US Treasuries for the month.
Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries were distributed among long-term bonds worth $112.3 billion, representing 83% of the total. Meanwhile, short-term bonds amounted to $23.2 billion, accounting for 17%.
Japan was the top holder of US Treasuries by value in November, with $1.09 trillion, followed by China ($768.6 billion).
