Donald Trump arrived at the White House early on Tuesday morning as the 47th President of the United States, four years after leaving office.

However, Trump did not wait until reaching the presidential residence to begin his duties. He immediately started signing a series of executive orders in front of his supporters, before continuing this effort later in the Oval Office.

The key decisions signed by Trump included canceling 78 executive orders from former President Joe Biden (including decisions related to racial and gender equality, anti-discrimination measures, COVID-19 response, climate crisis management, refugee resettlement, safe development of artificial intelligence, and more).

In addition, Trump temporarily suspended issuing new regulations, froze federal hiring with exceptions for the military and some agencies, and ordered the return of federal employees to full-time in-office work.

He further directed the government to address the cost-of-living crisis, restore freedom of speech and prevent censorship.

Moreover, the President withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement, ended the use of agencies as political weapons against opponents of the previous administration, and ordered an investigation into the previous administration's use of government agencies against political rivals.

Trump ordered an investigation into the censorship of free speech under the previous administration, revoked the removal of Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, and pardoned 1,500 individuals involved in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Riot.

The newly-elected President made a series of executive actions tightening immigration policies and revoking birthright citizenship.

In addition, he declared a national emergency on the southern border, deploying a large number of military and national guard units.

He also designated Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations, postponed TikTok ban for 75 days, and withdrew from the World Health Organization (WHO).

Trump renamed the Gulf of Mexico to "Gulf of America", and declared a national energy emergency (including opening the Arctic for oil exploration, boosting domestic energy production, and reducing regulatory constraints).

During the signing of these orders, Trump told reporters that he is considering imposing new 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico starting Feb. 1. He also mentioned plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, expressing his desire to end the war in Ukraine as quickly as possible.
