Saudi Aramco President and CEO Amin Nasser said the company is heavily investing in renewable energy, stressing the need for efficient grid management to avoid power outages.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum, he noted that Aramco is leveraging automated methods to manage energy loads. With artificial intelligence (AI), the company aims to enhance load management, cut costs, and maintain a stable power supply.

AI is also improving equipment management by reducing downtime and boosting efficiency, Nasser said. As renewables integrate into the grid, AI can optimize energy distribution and lower the costs of traditional mechanical methods.

Aramco is further leveraging AI to combat corrosion, the CEO disclosed. Processed data enhances accuracy in assessing corrosion, identifying affected areas, and predicting potential issues across various equipment.
