Americana Restaurants International PLC completed the acquisition of the Pizza Hut brand in Oman from the Khimji Ramdas Group.

It acquired 46 branches of Pizza Hut with annual revenues of nearly $11 million for 2024.

The move is part of Americana’s strategy to strengthen its regional presence and expand its operations.

In July 2022, the company signed a franchise agreement with the brand owner to develop and operate Pizza Hut restaurants in Saudi Arabia, excluding Jeddah. The company has since established a network of approximately 100 restaurants in the Kingdom. With this acquisition in Oman, the total number of Pizza Hut restaurants owned by the company in regional markets has risen to around 450.

According to Argaam data, Americana was founded in 1964 in Kuwait and manages over 1,800 restaurants featuring renowned brands across the region, including Pizza Hut, KFC, Krispy Kreme, and others. Additionally, it operates 25 food production sites across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Egypt.
