One of BCI factories
Basic Chemical Industries Co.'s (BCI) board of directors approved the award of the second-phase expansion project for its Jubail Industrial City plant to ThyssenKrupp, according to a statement to Tadawul.
The contract, valued at €14.74 million (SAR 57.97 million), is expected to be signed on Jan. 29, the statement added.

The agreement covers the sale, supply, and provision of equipment, spare parts, and engineering as well as consultancy services for the chlor-alkali plant expansion.
It also includes a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the technical and engineering know-how, as well as equipment related to plant operations.
BCI estimates the total expansion cost at SAR 89 million, covering construction work and utilities services.
