Al-Modawat to start operating western wing expansion in main building

Al-Modawat Specialized Medical Co. will start operating in-patient rooms at the recently-expanded western wing of Al-Modawat Hospital’s main building as of Jan. 28.

 

In a Tadawul statement today, Jan. 27, the company explained that the expansion represented a 35% increase in general surgery beds, in addition to an 18% rise in the hospital’s total bed capacity, including intensive care and nurseries.

This expansion is anticipated to boost patient volumes and improve financial performance, with the positive financial impact projected to be realized starting in the first quarter of 2025.

 

According to data available on Argaam, Al Modawat Hospital is located in Muhayil Aseer. The western building expansion work, comprising in-patient rooms, spans 3,000 square meters on the second floor.

 

In March 2023, Al-Modawat's board approved the hospital building expansion project to accommodate higher occupancy rates, at an estimated cost of SAR 3.2 million.

 

In May 2024, the company announced the continuation of the western building expansion at Al-Modawat Hospital, as previously announced, and the commencement of equipping the newly constructed eastern building to address high occupancy rates.

 

It was stated that the estimated post-expansion project value reached SAR 16.31 million.
