New land transport law set for rollout: Al-Jasser

Minister of Transport and Logistics, Saleh Al-Jasser, said the ministry is proceeding with preparations for the establishment of the land bridge linking the eastern and western regions of the Kingdom through a modern railway and logistics hubs.

 

In a speech to the Shura Council today, the minister pointed out that the new land transport law will be implemented soon, which will contribute to the comprehensive regulation of the sector.
 

The Kingdom will continue enhancing its logistical capabilities to facilitate export movement, support supply chains, improve global logistics indicators, and strengthen maritime shipping lines. In addition, the country will expand the air cargo movement, increase rail freight rates, and activate logistics hubs to support sustainable development.
 

The aviation and air transport sector is witnessing unprecedented leaps in air traffic and connectivity rates with countries around the world, Al-Jasser noted.
