The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mobile Telecommunication Company Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) to collaborate on enhancing the visitor experience by developing the Direct Hajj program, which serves pilgrims from more than 120 countries worldwide through Nusuk Hajj—the official platform licensed by the ministry for delivering Hajj services.
The MoU aims to enhance the visitor experience by improving the process of purchasing communication services within the Kingdom, ensuring the best communication service options, and giving them access to accurate and reliable information through the platform. Zain KSA will also sponsor the Nusuk Hajj platform dedicated to serving visitors from the targeted countries for direct Hajj and offer exclusive features for platform users.
Maher Al-Fawaz, Chief Sales and Distribution Officer at Zain KSA, said: "At Zain KSA, we are guided by a clear strategy to achieve digital inclusivity across the Kingdom and build an advanced digital infrastructure that provides the best customer experience. We are committed to contributing effectively to national efforts aimed at enhancing the digital capacity of the Guests of God Service Program, in line with its executive plan, and supporting the achievement of its goals to reach 30 million Umrah and Hajj pilgrims by 2030. We are also keen to ensure that all pilgrims enjoy an unprecedented digital experience that complements and enhances their spiritual and cultural journey."
Zain KSA has successfully achieved 100% coverage of the holy sites with 5G networks across all its towers, as part of an investment plan worth SAR 1.6 billion to expand its infrastructure, 5G network, and digital services ecosystem.
