Nazaha initiates criminal, administrative cases

Saudi Arabia's Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) initiated criminal and administrative cases, starting 396 investigations and arrested 158 suspects on administrative and criminal charges during January 2025. Some suspects were released on bail.

 

According to the authority, the detainees include employees from various ministries, including the Interior, Defense, National Guard, Justice, Health, Education, Commerce, and Municipal and Housing Affairs. The charges involve bribery and abuse of official authority.

 

Nazaha also reported conducting 1,076 oversight inspections in January 2025 as part of its ongoing efforts to combat corruption.
