A Riyadh Air aircraft
Riyadh Air is in discussions with Boeing and Airbus for a potential order of 50 additional wide-body aircraft, Bloomberg reported, citing informed sources.
The Saudi airline is considering the Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 777X models. It is also negotiating delivery slots, which have become increasingly difficult to secure.
According to data available with Argaam, in October 2024, Riyadh Air signed an agreement to purchase 60 Airbus A321neo aircraft ahead of its planned launch of operations in 2025.
Riyadh Air aims to operate flights to more than 100 global destinations by 2030. Following its establishment, the airline placed its first-ever aircraft order for 72 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
