The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) issued four licenses for investment in digital infrastructure projects, with an estimated investment of SAR 1 billion, during the LEAP 25 Conference.

The licenses include carrier service licenses for Water Transmission Co. (WTCO), Saudi Railway Co. (SAR), and Raqeem for Smart Solutions, allowing them to provide excess infrastructure capacity—such as fiber optics and towers—to licensed telecom operators.

Additionally, CST awarded a non-terrestrial networks (NTN) license to SkyFive Arabia, enabling the company to enhance aviation sector connectivity through advanced satellite communication solutions. The initiative is expected to boost digital transformation, expand telecom services to remote areas, and enhance Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional tech hub.
