Riyadh Metro serves 18M passengers since inauguration

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) announced that the Riyadh Metro project served nearly 18 million passengers, through over 162,000 trips covering approximately 4.5 million kilometers (km) across the six train lines since the network’s inauguration on Dec. 1, 2024.

 

In a statement, the RCRC highlighted that the Blue Line—Al-Olaya Al-Batha Axis – is the most utilized, recording nearly 10 million passengers during this period.

 

The KAFD station attracted the highest passenger traffic of more than three million.

 

In late November 2024, King Salman launched the Riyadh Metro project, which includes six lines with a length of 176 km, as well as 85 stations, according to Argaam data.
