Governor of the Northern Border Region Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz inaugurated the Movenpick Hotel Waad Al Shamal, developed with a total investment exceeding SAR 500 million, the state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Located in Waad Al Shamal Industrial City, under the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), the hotel aims to meet the growing demand for accommodation and hospitality services for workers, investors, residents, and visitors to the industrial city and the Northern Border region.

During the event, the Governor also witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements between Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Maaden) and several entities, including thyssenkrupp Uhde, Social Development Bank (SDB), Mövenpick Waad Al Shamal Hotel, and Jac Rijk Co.

These agreements seek to enhance factory performance, establish and operate a financial portfolio for a corporate social responsibility program, provide hospitality and community engagement services, and facilitate phosphate ore extraction, handling, and processing.
