US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said on Monday his top priority was for the government to "get out of the way" of the production of oil, gas and coal, thus minimizing restrictions on these industries, so they can grow better without bureaucratic or regulatory interference.
During his online participation in a conference in London on Monday, Chris said "The priority is not to hinder production and exports, and boost our coal or gas volumes," Reuters reported.
"We approved an LNG export terminal last Friday, and there are many other projects are in the queue," he added.
Meanwhile, Chris called a pledge to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050 a "sinister goal", expressing a hardline stance towards emissions reduction policies.
