Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs, Khalil bin Salamah, said the automobile factories in Saudi Arabia, including Ceer, Lucid, and Hyundai, will increase by nearly 300 to supply vehicle production lines with various components.

He added that the components include plastic parts, which Saudi Arabia exports globally, as well as metal industries supporting the automotive sector, particularly for vehicles with steel and aluminum bodies.

Many supply chains originate from national factories, Asharq Al-Awsat reported, citing Salamah.

Significant progress has been made with the establishment of Ceer, Lucid, and Hyundai factories in KAEC, the official said, adding that the Kingdom experienced interest from several companies in setting up factories locally.
