Crude inventories in the US rose higher than expected in the week ended Feb. 28.

 

Commercial crude stockpiles increased by 3.6 million barrels over the past week, against expectations of a 200,000-barrel rise, data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed.

 

Gasoline stocks decreased by 1.4 million barrels last week, with distillate stocks— including diesel and heating oil—falling by 1.3 million barrels.
