The Saudi Architecture Characters Map will play a significant role in attracting investments and supporting the local economy, Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majid Al-Hogail said.

It will also enhance the Kingdom's position as a leading cultural and tourism destination, he stated.

Al-Hogail told Asharq News, an Arabic news channel, that the Saudi Architecture Characters Map reflects the vision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in improving cities and increasing their attractiveness. This vision will be achieved through designs that blend tradition with modernity, creating a sustainable urban environment that meets community needs, while preserving the local character of each region.

The Saudi Architecture Characters Map will play a pivotal role in achieving the objectives of Vision 2030, through several key aspects, mainly improving the urban landscape, enhancing the quality of life and boosting the efficiency of urban infrastructure, Al-Hogail noted.

According to Argaam data, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman officially launched the Saudi Architecture Characters Map on March 17, featuring 19 distinct architectural styles inspired by the Kingdom’s diverse geographical and cultural characteristics.

By 2030, Saudi architecture is expected to contribute over SAR 8 billion to the Kingdom’s cumulative GDP and create over 34,000 direct and indirect job opportunities across the engineering, construction, and urban development sectors.
