Arabian Cement says Jordan affiliate shut by sit-in protest

The Arabian Cement Company (ACC) announces that operations and production at its Jordan-based affiliate Qatrana Cement are halted due to an illegal sit-in by the employees, who blocked the road to the plant.

The company’s management and board addressed the Jordanian government authorities, including the cabinet, to interfere and open the road, to allow the company to resume normal activity. The company is working with the Jordan government to guarantee the security of its investment and is considering all options available.
