Eastern Province Cement to start test operation of new mill early 2015

Eastern Province Cement Company’s new mill will be operational in April 2015 following three months of test operation, the company said in a filing to Tadawul today.

The company signed a deal in February 2013 with a contractor to build a new 150-tonnes/hour cement mill costing SAR 82 million, thereby the contractor shall supply the equipment and implement engineering works, according to Argaam’s data.

The contract took effect in June 2013. Construction works will start on October 18 and remain till end of the year, said the company.
