Ministry of Petroleum and the Arabian Cement still not reaching an agreement regarding fuel allocation for the new line in Rabigh plant

The Arabian Cement Company announced receiving an official letter from the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources stating ministry inability of providing the fuel necessary for the new production line in Rabigh plant.

The project’s feasibility study took into consideration alternative fuel sources; the cement company said without providing any further details.

The new line is to have a production capacity of 10,000 tons/day and expected to go on stream in 2017.

The Arabian Cement submitted a request in 2011 to ARAMCO for allocating the necessary fuel for the expansion project in addition to submitting another request for the Saudi Electricity Company for providing needed electricity power for the project.
