Southern Province Cement inks deal to expand Tahama power generation unit

HH Prince Abdullah bin Mosa'ad bin Abdulrahman Al-Saud, SPCC Chairman, in the presence of the board members, has signed a contract with the deputed board member of Wartsilla Power Contracting Company for the expansion of the power generation plant in Tahama factory, by adding (4) diesel units operating by heavy fuel with a total capacity of (32) MW, The contract was signed on 17/2/1434h corresponding to 30/12/2012.

 

The contract value to execute the expansion project is EURO (20,250,000) equaling SR (96) million and the contract period is (12) months from the make-ready of the site. The contract will be self-financed and any developments that might occur shall be announced then.
