Sipchem announced the unscheduled stop for 2 plants

Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) announced today on tadawul the unscheduled stoppage of operations for the Methanol and Carbon Monoxide plants due to technical problems which is expected to continue for 2 weeks.

This stoppage caused a stoppage in Acetic acid and Butanediol plants due to the unavailability of the feedstock.

This event is expected to have a negative effect on the company’s financials amounting to SAR 48m.
