Sipchem's affiliate’s butanediol plant suspended for scheduled maintenance

An affiliate of Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) has suspended operation in its  butanediol plant for 4 weeks starting Aug 29 for scheduled maintenance and completion of expansion plans to improve efficiency of operations, the company said in a statement to the Saudi bourse, Tadawul.

 

The projected financial impact of SAR 8 million will be reflected in the 3rd quarter of this year.

 

The affiliate, Diol Co, is 54 percent owned by Sipchem and 46 percent owned by local and foreign investors.
