SIPCHEM resumes operations at Butanediol plant after expansions

Saudi International Petrochemical Company (SIPCHEM) successfully connected the new expansion’s facilities with its Butanediol plant and completed periodic maintenance work for some units of the plant.

The plant resumed operations today after the expansions and maintenance work; SIPCHEM said in its filing to Tadawul today, clarifying that it will increase plant reliability and productivity.

According to Argaam; SIPCHEM announced, late August, shutting down its Butanediol plant for periodic maintenance and expansion work for four weeks.

Butanediol plant is an affiliate of International Diol Company (IDC).

IDC is 54% owned by SIPCHEM and 46% by domestic and foreign investors.
