CEO of the Saudi Arabian Oil Company, Aramco, has said that that $20 billion Sadara project, a joint venture between Aramco and Dow Chemicals, is more than 70 percent complete.

The petrochemical complex is expected to be operational next year, CEO Khalid al-Faleh said at Sadara CEO meeting in Jubail.

Once complete, the petrochemical complex will have used more than 160,000 tons of steel and 1 million ft3 of concrete, he added.

Sadara is 65 percent owned by Aramco and 35 percent by Dow Chemicals.
