Savola Foods Company, subsidiary of Savola Group, is pursuing a plan to boost the capacity of its sugar factory by 42 percent with aim to increase its sales locally and internationally.
The extension will increase the company’s sugar production from 1.2 to 1.7 million metric tonnes annually.
The company said the project will be financed 50-50 from internal resources and bank loans.
The expansion will take two years and test production is expected in December 2017.
