Mobily plans to provide advanced network services to residents of King Abdullah Economic City, the company said on Thursday.
The company will connect the city to the kingdom’s national network by using optical fibers, it said in a statement. It will also provide both wired and wireless services through the city’s telecommunications network.
Businesses and individuals at KAEC will be able to access advanced communication services via satellite television over the internet (IPTV) and VPN services.
Last year, Mobily inked an eight-year agreement with Emaar Economic City to provide and maintain telecommunication services throughout KAEC, according to data available on Argaam. The contract is renewable for SAR 600 million.
