SISCO opens gateway terminal at Jeddah Port

Dr. Jubarahbin EidAl-Suraisry, Minister of Transport and Chairman of Saudi Ports Authority, opened on April 21, 2012 the Red Sea Gateway Terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port under the auspices of His Highness the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

The terminal’s capacity is 1.5 million standard containersannually, thereby raising the total handling capacity of Jeddah Islamic Port terminals to around seven million standard containers annually.

The Red Sea Gatewayis the third Jeddah Islamic Portterminal that comply with international standards, and was developed under a BOT system. Sisco owns 60% of the terminal’s capital of SAR 555 million.
