BCI APPOINTS NEW CEO

Basic Chemical Industries Co announces that the CEO Mr. Michael S. Layous has submitted his resignation from his position on 18-06-2013 with effect from 01-07-2013 the due to decision to retire from his responsibility as CEO.. Moreover, the Board of Directors accepted the appointment of Mr. Saleh Mana Ali Al-Yami as CEO starting from 01-07-2013. Mr. Saleh Al-Yami has experience in leadership and strategy in the management of companies as well as a great knowledge in the Saudi market and the Gulf. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arizona, USA, and worked in several reputed companies including Saudi Aramco in managerial positions and as executive.
Chairman and members of the Board of Directors extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to Mr. Michael Layous for his all efforts contributed to the company during his tenure, which lasted for more than thirty years and that has been achieved through unprecedented achievements in the history of the company and its subsidiaries, as well as their best wishes to Mr. Saleh Al-Yami for all success in his new role and complete the march the success of the company.
