The Royal Commission of Yanbu approved allocating more than 23,000 m2 land in Yanbu industrial city for Al-Sorayia Trading and Industrial Group. The land will be used to establish a calcium carbonate plant; the company said in a filing to tadawul.

Al-Sorayia announced earlier, in September 2013, establishing the Arabian company for manufacturing Calcium Carbonate in Jeddah as a joint venture with Al Jazeera paints company.

The SAR 5m capital project is to be 52% owned by Al Sorayia and will be financed by the two companies’ internal resources along with local banks credit.
