Soraya gets land allocation in Jeddah for its new calcium carbonate factory

Al Sorayai Trading And Industrial Group Company, a carpet and a synthetic  fibers,  maker was allocated 22,000 square meters of land in Jeddah Industrial zone to build its calcium carbonate factory, the company said in a statement to the Saudi bourse.

In March, the company said that the government had approved to allocate 23,000 square meters of land in Yanbu for the factory but al Sorayai decided to change its location for economic reasons.

The company signed an agreement with al Jazeera Paints in September to build the factory in Jeddah.
