Maaden announces preliminary operation of utilities unit

Further to the Companys announcement on November 28, 2012 corresponding to (14-01-1434H) Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) related to the operation and production of its jointly controlled entity Sahara and Maaden Petrochemicals Company (SAMAPCO). 

Maaden announces that the preliminary operation of the SAMAPCOs utilities unit has started at the end of the 1st Quarter 2013. In addition, SAMAPCO has reached the mechanical completion of the mechanical works on April 16, 2013. 

It is expected that SAMAPCO will start the trial production at the beginning of 3rd Quarter, 2013. Any additional information will be announce in due time. 
SAMAPCO is a limited liability company, jointly owned 50:50 by Ma'aden and Sahara.
