Sadara signs SAR 70 m agreements with Marafiq

Sadara Basic Services Company, an affiliate of Sadara Chemical Company (Sadara), said that Sadara entered into a utility user agreement and a connection agreement with The Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu (Marafiq) on 16 November 2014.
 

The combined estimated contract value of both agreements is SAR 70m and each has a term of 30 years.


Under these agreements Marafiq is to supply services with respect to potable water (for industrial use), sanitary wastewater and industrial wastewater (the Utilities) to the chemicals project of Sadara which is to be located at Jubail Industrial City II in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
 

 Marafiq will also provide and maintain connection between Sadara plants and the Marafiq’s network system to ensure that Sadara is able to benefit from Marafiq utilities supply.

According to Argaam; Sadara chemicals is USD 20bn joint venture between Saudi ARAMCO and Dow chemicals company aiming at establishing and operating a chemicals complex in Jubail industrial city2.
