The Saudi non-oil exports declined 5% to SAR 17.8 bn in September 2014 compared to SAR 18.8 bn for the same month last year; according to the Central Department of Statistics and Information.
This is the first time that non-oil exports decline in 2014 compared to the previous year.
Non-oil exports reached its highest level in March at SAR 19.9 bn while its lowest level was in February at SAR 16.7 bn.
This decline in non-oil exports is driven by the decline of the kingdom’s exports of chemical industry products by SAR 872m and transportation equipment by SAR 721m while Plastic and rubber products’ exports increased by SAR 520m.

China and the United Arab Emirates were the highest importers from Saudi Arabia; importing 12% or SAR 2.1 bn each from Saudi non-oil products followed by India, Singapore and Egypt at 7%, 6% and 5% respectively.
Saudi exports increased 13% to SAR 164.9 bn in the first nine months of 2014 compared to SAR 146.5 bn for the same period last year.
