The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) said its chairman Suleiman bin Saad Al-Hameed submitted his resignation on Tuesday to join the Saudi Arabian cabinet as minister of social affairs.
Al-Hameed’s resignation will be effective immediately, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.
The kingdom on Monday said it was restructuring its government by dismissing six of its ministers and appointing nine others to the cabinet.
Al-Hameed is replacing former minister Yousef Al-Othaimeen, according to Argaam.
