Saudi Steel Pipe starts commercial operation of its polysilicon plant in the 1st half of 2015

Saudi Steel Pipe Co. will start commercial operation of its Polysilicon Technology Company in Jubail Industrial City II in the end of the 1st half of 2015 and the financial impact will be reflected by the end of the same year, the company said in a statement to the Saudi bourse, Tadawul.

 

The gradual trial operation of the project started on Dec 1, 2014, it added.

 

The project is a joint venture of South Korea’s KCC Corporation to produce solar grade polysilicon, the material used in the manufacture of solar energy products.
