Saudi banks consolidated earnings up 7% in July

The consolidated earnings of Saudi-based banks grew by around seven percent in July to SAR 3.41 billion compared to the same month in 2013, a Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency report said.

 

The figures cover 11 listed banks, the National Commercial Bank (NCB) and 11 units of foreign banks.

 

Saudi-based banks posted SAR 24.43 billion in earnings between January and end of July 2014, ten percent higher than the same period last year.

Saudi banks’ consolidated assets rose by 13 percent by the end of July at around SAR 2.051 trillion, while their deposit base grew 15 percent to SAR 1.521 trillion. Their consolidated loans portfolio grew 12 percent to SAR 1.221 trillion as shown in the following tables.
