SAMA’s assets fell to SAR 2.795 trillion in June

The assets of Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), the kingdom’s central bank, fell to around SAR 2.795 trillion in June-- eight billion riyals lower than May 2014 figures, the bank said in a monthly report.

 

The central bank’s assets climbed in June by SAR 181 billion compared to June 2013.

SAMA’s investments in foreign securities, more than 70 percent of its total assets, climbed to SAR 2.07 trillion by end of June, nine percent higher than June 2013, continuing an uptrend for 53 months in a row.
