Halwani Brothers Co. (Halwani Bros.) said that it finalized the largest part of its industrial complex phase II and that the power grid was linked to the project on Sunday.
The project’s facilities will start pilot operations by the coming week, while the trial run for production lines will launch in February.
Accordingly, all production lines will come on stream by the end of the first half of 2015.
The Saudi-based food producer attributed the delay in the project’s trial test to necessary relevant amendments and additions, according to its statement to Tadawul, Saudi Arabia’s bourse.
The start date of commercial operations and the project’s total value will be revealed upon completion of the project.
In 2009, Allied Engineering Enterprises had been awarded phase I of the project at a total value of SAR 52 million and won phase II in 2011 at a total value of SAR 110 million, according to data available on Argaam.
