Mada Gypsum set to start new SAR 250 mln production line in Saudi Arabia

Mada Gypsum, a subsidiary of Al Rajhi Building Solutions Group, ​has ​started building a new gypsum plant in Saudi Arabia at a cost of SAR 250 million.


The new plant with have an annual production capacity of 30 million square meters of gypsum plasterboards and related gypsum based products.

It is expected to start operations in third quarter of 2016, said Ahmed Al-Bassam, chief executive of Al Rajhi Building Solutions Group.

With the new ​plant
 that will employ 200 workers, Mada will become the Middle East’s largest gypsum manufacturer.


Mada Gypsum is a GCC-based firm and has two production lines in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia​

with a capacity of 34 million square meters.

Mabani Steel, Cladtech International, Unipods, Precast Technologies, Mada Gypsum, Saudi Water Proofing, Romeo Interiors, El-Sewedy Cables, and Electroputere Saudi Arabia are all members of Al Rajhi Building Solutions Group.
