Saudi index slips 7 pts; traded value stands at SAR 7.6 bln

Saudi ​Arabia's measure ​index turned on Thursday slightly lower, down nearly 7 points to close at 9,314 points. 

 
The total value of shares traded reached SAR 7.6 billion.  
 
Dropping over 3 percent, Zain Saudi shut at SAR 12.35 with trading volume nearing 40.8 million shares. The operator’s extraordinary general meeting approved on Wednesday a capital reduction by 46 percent to SAR 5.8 billion to offset accumulated losses.
 
The stock closing price on Wednesday was adjusted to SAR 12.77.
 
On the upside, SABIC and Al-Rajhi Bank eked out a small gain of almost 1 percent. 
 
Saudi Electricity, Advanced Petrochemical, and Saudi Telecom jumped between 1 and 3 percent.
