Nama Chemicals will delay the start-up of its allyl alcohol plant due to a polypropylene leak in one of its pipelines, the company said in a statement on Sunday to Saudi Arabia’s bourse
The leaks, which will take at least one week to repair, were discovered after it finalized maintenance activities in February.
The plant will start operations on March 8. Financial impact cannot be accurately determined before the pipeline is fixed, Nama added.
According to data compiled by Argaam, Nama recently said that it would halt operations in some of its production units for 15 days starting Feb 6. due to scheduled maintenance. This also included the allyl alcohol plant.
