Fire hits Saudi Packaging subsidiary in Jeddah

Saudi Printing & Packaging Co.(SPPC) said that a fire broke out on Thursday at a unit of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Flexible Packaging LTD, located in Jeddah.
 
The company said in a statement to Tadawul that it ceased operations temporarily at the affected unit until it can complete technical assessment​s​. Its other units will operate as scheduled following approval of authorities. 
 
Financial impact of the fire and any other relevant updates will be announced after SPPC weighs up the costs of the damage. The plant is fully insured, the company added.
