Jouf Cement expects financial impact of expansion line in Q2

Jouf Cement Company said it expects the financial impact of its second production line to be reflected in second quarter of this year, as the company was successfully testing new equipment, the cement maker said in a statement to the Saudi bourse, Tadawul.

In January, the company said commercial production of the expansion project would start in the first quarter this year, according to Argaam.

Trial operation of the second clinker production line, which could reach a capacity of 5,000 tons of clinker a day, started in December 2013. It has been extended three times since then.
