Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) has signed a number of agreements with major European service providers in the first quarter to expand and diversify its internet and global MPLS services.
STC’s wholesale business unit sealed an agreement with the United Kingdom’s Telecity Group to expand its international points of presence within two data centers in London, as well as Amsterdam in the Netherlands, the company said in a press release.
The telecom operator also inked interconnections agreements with UK-based internet service provider LINIX, and another with Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMSIX) to enhance the reliability of its services.
With these new arrangements, STC will continue to extend its global reach with access to key countries in Western Europe, said Homoud Al Kussayer, STC’s vice president of Wholesale.
