Saudi Arabia ready to work with non-Opec producers to help oil prices: Report

08/04/2015 Argaam
Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister, Ali Al-Naimi, said that his country is ready to help improve the current oil market situation only if producers outside the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) joined the effort, Reuters reported.

Speaking during an economics conference held in Riyadh, Al-Naimi said that the kingdom produced 10.3 million b/d in March, adding that oil prices may improve in the near future following recent sharp decline.

"The kingdom is still ready to help bring back stability to the market and improve prices in a reasonable and suitable manner, but with the participation of the main producing and exporting countries and based on clear principles and high transparency, so the kingdom or the Gulf countries or OPEC countries do not shoulder that alone," Reuters quoted Al-Naimi as saying.
