Cement producers’ Q1 combined profits seen to grow 6%

Cement producers are expected to post an average six percent growth in combined profits for the first quarter to nearly SAR 1.730 billion, compared to the same period last year, according to consensus estimates posted by several Saudi firms.

 

Eight out of 13 players are projected to generate higher profit.

 

Eastern Province Cement and Tabuk Cement will likely see profit drops of 46 percent and ten percent, respectively.

 

Yamama Cement and Saudi Cement are forecasted to report flat year-on-year earnings of SAR 175 million and SAR 286 million, respectively.

Among Saudi research firms, AlJazira Capital issued the widest coverage on the sector with 11 companies. Albilad Capital tailed the list of research firms, issuing forecasts for only three cement producers.
