Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) will expand its fleet from 119 planes to 200 planes by 2020, as it looks to boost capacity and improve services, the state news agency reported, citing Saleh al-Jasser, the carrier’s director.
His comments came on the back of a meeting, in which executives adopted a five-year strategic plan for the airline. The upgrade was said to be aimed at capturing a bigger share of the aviation market on a global and regional level.
Around 28 million travelers flew with Saudia last year, Al-Jasser added.
